Doty Creek Old Regular Baptist Church
But then, how often do you meet regular Baptists?
Jeff Street Baptist Community at Liberty. It's a confusing mouthful for a group that might better be known as the Church, formerly of Jeff Street, formerly Baptists (and Catholics, Presbyterians and given-up-hope) which is now at Liberty, literally and figuratively. We are a mutt. The wretched refuse. The divine community. God's Kingdom come. Welcome. [Disclaimer: The views within this blog are doubtless pretty cool. Nonetheless, views expressed are those of the individual and not Jeff Street.]

Aren't all Baptists "irregular?" I once had a Methodist friend claim that there were only 3 types of Baptists: independent Baptists, more independent Baptists, and most independent Baptists! I thought he had a point.
I like how all the Irregular Baptist church buildings had it phrased the same: "Doty Creek (Old Indian Bottom, Buggers Mill, etc) Church of Old Regular Baptist" - as opposed to Doty Creek Old Regular Baptists. Interesting phrasing...
Also, I like on this particular sign:
"Meeting times: Second Sat. and Sun."
I love these old church buildings.
