Life at Jeff Street
Jeff Street Baptist Community at Liberty. It's a confusing mouthful for a group that might better be known as the Church, formerly of Jeff Street, formerly Baptists (and Catholics, Presbyterians and given-up-hope) which is now at Liberty, literally and figuratively. We are a mutt. The wretched refuse. The divine community. God's Kingdom come. Welcome. [Disclaimer: The views within this blog are doubtless pretty cool. Please tell me what your Reclaiming Christmas project is this year.
Sorry, I'm just now seeing this. For the last few years we've sponsored three projects:
1. The Amos Project, which gets much needed health care to rural areas of Nicaragua. The program is unique in that it empowers the local folk to create their own health care initiatives.
2. Provide assistance to those in need, especially immigrants escaping persecution, in Morocco.
3. A green energy program for our church.
